Since September 2016, during my time at University I’ve been working part time on the weekends in Missoula. A stylish, branded high-street bar that prides itself on fantastic cocktails, premium food and a wonderful atmosphere throughout the day and night.
Doing Interior Design at University the manager set me the task of giving the staffroom a revamp.

Budget of £100 and a time scale of a week.

Before coming to a final conclusion I gave the staff and management three floor plan options. Majority favoured the idea of the bar space.

With the budget I had it was important to save money where necessary, grey paint was left over from the refurb of the bar in 2015 , it made sense to get some use out of it.
Carpet bugs and the washing machine leaking water all over the carpet left it unsavable. I pulled it all up to discover concrete underneath and used floor paint to replace it. Creating an easy to clean and durable flooring.
The furniture was either bought second hand or from Ikea. The result was a very minimalist, clean space.
During the course of the week and weekend I asked staff to collect to bottle tops in order for me to create a feature wall of the Missoula logo.
